Cancer is Preventable: Our diet, lifestyle, and environment have all been altered to our detriment. Too much of the food we eat is nutrient deficient and way too many toxins are entering our bodies. Add to that a sedentary lifestyle and some prolonged stress, and you have the right conditions for cancers to thrive. The good news is that all of the above are under our control.
Eliminate Processed Foods: Processed foods are responsible for most of the disease in our society, including cancer. The four biggest culprits are refined sugar, white flour, processed vegetable oils, and excess animal protein. They support the initiation, growth, and metastasis of cancer. To prevent cancer, you need to wean yourself off of processed foods.
Perhaps 50,000 years from now, we will be able to handle a diet of French fries, cured meats, white buns, buttered tarts, table sugar, soda pop, and other refined foods. Up until then, we are stuck with the fact that the above foods act as deadly poisons, wreak havoc inside our bodies, and initiate disease at the cellular level.
Switch to an Anti-Cancer Diet: To beat cancer, you have to switch to a natural, whole foods way of eating. A diet high in fresh fruits and vegetables, organic or local is very effective in preventing cancer. You can get even more complex carbohydrates from grains such as brown rice, millet, and amaranth.
Furthermore, add a moderate amount of good fats, primarily from flax, hemp, olive, and coconut oils. And, eat some quality protein from cold, deep water fish, wild game, grass-fed beef, organic eggs, and quinoa.
Pump in more Oxygen: We have to get off the couch. Motion is life. When you improve your oxygen levels you prevent cancers from taking hold because cancers can not thrive in an oxygen-rich environment. Increase your oxygen uptake through brisk walking, aerobic-based interval training, and deep breathing.
Jettison the Stress: Chronic stress suppresses the immune system and is one of the leading causes of the body becoming acidic. Unfortunately, bacteria, viruses, and cancers thrive in an acidic environment. Reduce your stress and cancer risk with stretching, yoga, meditation, rebounding, and relaxation music.
We need to take greater personal responsibility for our own health and fitness. You are in control of your lifestyle. By making smarter, informed choices, you can do much to prevent cancer and reverse this epidemic. After all, an ageless body is your birthright.
